  • Soo... do you like cheese?

No... I mean, REALLY like cheese?

If you answered yes, then you HAVE to try the Smack Yo Mama Mac & Cheese because ZOMG so good!! The only adjustments I think that I would make next time are more salt and pepper and adding crushed Ritz crackers or bread crumbs in the last few minutes. The crunch would be yummy!

I have a student with a birthday this week so I may make these to bring tomorrow...

I'll keep you posted. I am making tacos tonight... plans have not been going so well this week but I think that as I get used to being back at work I will get better at working and cooking.

  •
    The finished beef stew!

We are enjoying this stew right now! It is absolutely delicious even with too much garlic! The only change I made to the recipe was that in the last hour (I cooked it on high for 6 hours) I added some flour mixed with water to thicken things up. Also, it didn't clarify if the cans of potatoes were to be drained so I drained one and half drained the second. It seemed to work out ok. Scott and I will be breathing out pure garlic for a few days but I think it will be well worth it! The meat practically fell apart and it was so delicious, very flavorful.

All that was left! (I don't like onions...) It was so good I might have licked the bowl if it weren't for the onions! lol Try it, you'll like it!

*No smooches so that you don't have to inhale garlic breath!*
  • So... 50/50 is the rule of the day.

The pizza crust was easy and awesome! The hubby even declared it tied for 2nd favorite pizza ever and from a serious pizza eater like himself that is a big deal. I also enjoyed the crust, although next time I want to make the crust thinner and I need to put more sauce on the pizza. Although we aren't huge sauce eaters the density of the crust needs the sauce to add that "pizza" flavor. I used ragu's pizza quick and it has a great flavor. I highly recommend it even if you think that homemade pizza crust is over your head. If I can do it, anybody can!

The only piece of pizza to make it to leftovers! It was VERY yummy!

Now, the other half of the 50/50... the amish baked oatmeal is only ok. We think that if it had more raisins or more sugar or more 'something' it would be better. It isn't bad, it is just... eh.

There will be 'eh' oatmeal to eat tomorrow too! Yum?

So, beef stew is next! I'll let you know how it goes!

    *EDIT*
Beef stew is in the crockpot!

I accidentally added 3 times too much garlic! We'll see how it is if we can stand to eat it. No vampires at our house tonight!!! lol
